This Policy does not apply to the practices or standards of companies or individuals that We do not own, control or are affiliated with Campus Labs (including without limitation any third-party products, services or links integrated into the App).
When you register with the App, we may collect certain information that we would use to better the User experience within the App. The information includes how you use the App, what mobile device and hardware you use, what products or services you utilize more, and information regarding your location. You may also provide us with personal identifiable information, such as your name, e-mail, phone number, and other contact information when you register.
Location Information: You may share your location when you permit such access on your mobile device and your mobile device sends us location information. We may also use other data from your device to determine location, for example, information about wireless networks or cell towers near your mobile device, or your IP address. We may use and store information about your location to provide features of our Services, such as sharing events in your area, and to improve and customize the Services, for example, with more relevant content like local trends, stories, ads, and suggestions for people to follow.
When you register with the App, We will ask you for your CollegiateLink login information username and password to authenticate your account. This information may also include your biographical or demographic information that our servers collect. Other non-personal identifiable information may include without limitation your hardware data.
We may use mobile analytics software to allow us to better understand the functionality of our App on your mobile device. This App may record information such as:
We do not link the information we store within the analytics software to any personally identifiable information you submit within the App.
We may share your information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this Policy.
We may provide your personal information to third parties that provide services to help us with our business. These third parties are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us. Campus Labs may share non-private or aggregate information collected by it within the bounds of this Policy and share it with third parties in order to conduct business analytics. The information shared includes without limitation user activity, particular content posted to the App, and other demographic information collected by Campus Labs.
Device Identification: When you use a mobile device, We may access, collect, monitor, store on your device, and/or remotely store unique “non-personal device identifiers.” These identifiers are data files, or similar, stored on or associated with your mobile device. These identifiers uniquely identify your mobile device. A device identifier may be data stored in connection with the device hardware, data stored in connection with the device’s operation system or other software, or data sent to the device by Campus Labs. A device identifier may deliver information to us about how you brose and use the App and may help us or others provide reports or personalized content and ads.
Campus Labs may correspond with you via e-mail in order to provide necessary updates, share information about product(s), promotion(s), new service(s), and Campus Labs related service or App updates. We may also use your provided e-mail address in order to respond to customer service inquiries.
The information collected by Campus Labs may be used to better tailor your experience when utilizing the App. This includes tailoring promotions, suggested content, and other marketing offers to you based upon your activity and posted content.
Campus Labs permits its Users to access the App through independent third-party platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and similar services. Campus Labs will have access to limited information from that particular service (i.e. Facebook friends list) and we may obtain, including personal information, from said linked accounts.
Campus Labs maintains the right to preserve, share, and/or disclose information in order to properly comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations in order to comply with any legal requests that may arise. We do this in order to protect any actual or potential harm against other individuals, both Campus Labs and non-Campus Labs users, to address and potential illegalities (e.g., fraud), to resolve any technical or security issues, and to protect the App and Campus Labs property. However, Campus Labs does not have any legal obligation to, but reserves it right, to disclose any identifiable information to authorities when, at Campus Labs' sole discretion, it feels it may need to prevent any type of harm (e.g., physical, emotional, psychological) to one’s self or others.
In the event Campus Labs is acquired either in whole or in part by another entity or merges with another entity, Campus Labs reserves the right to transfer and assign the information collected by Campus Labs to the succeeding entity.
We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our App. Please be aware that, although we endeavor provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services contact us at: HYPERLINK "mailto:email@example.com"firstname.lastname@example.org. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and as used for archival purposes.
Campus Labs does not, and will never, knowingly collect, retain or utilize information from persons under the age of thirteen (13).
If Campus Labs becomes aware that any such information has been collected from an individual under the age of thirteen (13), Campus Labs will take immediate and appropriate steps to delete this information. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child under the age of thirteen (13) has registered with the App, please e-mail us at HYPERLINK "mailto:email@example.com" firstname.lastname@example.org.
Regardless of where you “call home” or access the App, you acknowledge that you are bound by the terms set forth in this Policy. By accessing the App from outside the United States, you further acknowledge that such information may be transferred outside of the country you accessed the App from to be stored and utilized within the terms of this Policy in the United States.
Campus Labs may periodically update this Policy. The most recent version of this Policy will always be available and accessible via the App. For any material or less restrictive changes, We will notify you by e-mail or a notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after any changes to this Policy become effective constitutes an agreement to be bound by the revised terms of this Policy.
